One day many years ago at a school in South London, a teacher said to the class of five year olds, “I will give 20 pounds to the child who can tell me who was the most famous man who ever lived."

An Irish boy put his hand up and said, “It was St. Patrick". The teacher said, “Sorry Alan, that's not correct." Then a Scottish boy put his hand up and said, “It was St. Andrew.". The teacher replied, “I am sorry, Hamish... that is not right either."

Finally, an Indian/Gujrati boy raised his hand and said, “It was Jesus Christ!". The teacher said, “That’s absolutely right, Jayant, come up here and I will give you 20 Pounds"

As the teacher was giving Jayant his money, she said, “You know Jayant, since you are a Indian/Gujarati, I was very surprised that you said Jesus Christ." Jayant Replied, “Yes Madam, In my heart I knew it was Lord Krishna, but business is business!”

Man: My wife is six months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she behaves illogically and psychologically unstably. Doctor: So what's your question?

“I'm really worried," exclaimed Santa, “Why?” Banta asked. “Well, my wife read ‘A Tale of Two Cities' and we had twins. Later she read ‘The Three Musketeers' and we had triplets. Now she's reading ‘Birth of a Nation!’"

A journalist assigned to the Jerusalem bureau takes an apartment overlooking the Wailing Wall. Every day when she looks out, she sees an old Jewish man praying vigorously. So the journalist goes down and introduces herself to the old man.

She asks, “You come every day to the wall. How long have you been doing that and what are you praying for?”

The old man replies, “I have come here to pray every day for 25 years. In the morning I pray for world peace and then for the brotherhood of man. I go home have a cup of tea and I come back and pray for the eradication of illness and disease from the earth.”

The journalist is amazed. “How does it make you feel to come here every day for 25 years and pray for these things?" she asks.

The old man looks at her sadly. “Like I'm talking to a wall.”

What do these words have in common?
Revive, Banana, Grammar, Dresser, Uneven, Assess and Potato

No! its not that all of them have at least two double letters. Answer is that if you take the first letter and place it at the end of the same word; then you will spell the word backwards!

Son: “Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?”

“So, Mr Adams." The lady at the job centre said,
“After nearly 20 years in full time employment, you just decided to leave. May I ask why?"
“Well,” I said, "I opened a Twitter account, and after about a week I decided that my whole career had been a total waste of time. So I left." "And what was this career?" She asked. “I was an English teacher."

Daddy happily inquired… “You hang up so early???”
Daughter replies, “It was a wrong number!!!”

“Age wrinkles the body.
Quitting wrinkles the soul.” - Douglas Macarthur

Have you ever noticed how quitting can become a habit, you quit once and it’s no big deal, but quitting dents the soul, it damages our sense of self worth, self esteem and can quickly become a downward spiral where we end up believing that’s our lot in life and never daring again to take action towards our great dreams.

Sure, sometimes in life quitting is actually the wise course, when you find yourself doing something you’re no longer passionate about and that no longer enriches the soul, but the quitting I’m referring to is the kind that’s a lot more common, and is associated with giving up on our dreams whether it be out of fear, lack of belief or whatever else may be holding us back at the time.

Whatever it is that causes you to doubt yourself and want to quit and give up on your dream, know that quitting isn’t the answer; the answer lies in finding a resolution to whatever is holding you back so that you can get back on track towards achieving what’s most important to you, and to living a life filled with passion and fulfilment, not guilt and regret.

Ask yourself today, ‘What can I do to ensure I don’t give up on my dream next time I feel tempted to quit and instead look introspectively at what belief or fear may be causing me to want to do so?’
