Dear all:
In this issue of our magazine, I am writing interesting tips that will benefit you, your children and grandchildren:
1. Family is Most Important - What really matters the most at the end of your life is the relationships you’ve had. I’ve seen many interviews where successful people are asked what they would do differently if they got a chance to do it all over again. Almost every single one of them replied that they would spend more time with their families. Success and accumulating money and things might be nice, it should never be done at the expense of your relationships with family and friends.
2. Trust in a Higher Power - “God would take care of you.” - this belief will support you with a sense of security, and will also became your reality. Things will always work out in a way that is best for you. Almost all major religions and more recently, quantum physics, teach us that our thoughts and beliefs create our physical reality. So, if you believe that you will always be taken care of and that things will work out for the best, it actually will. Just imagine how much less stress you would feel if you believed that there was a greater power out there looking out for you and taking care of you.
3. Enjoy Life - Eat lot of nutritious food, exercise regularly and enjoy life. Dont deny yourself things that you enjoy, but enjoy them in moderation. Being stress-free and enjoying life can go a long way to helping you to live a long and happy life. Have lot of fun in gatherings and get-togethers. Crack a subtle joke with happiness and smile. Get yourself photographed. Laughing and having fun helps to reduce stress. Stress can take a major toll on your health, so make sure you take some time to laugh and play everyday.
4. Schedule a block of time with your grand-child or child - If you have more than one child, then schedule time with each one. Have a talk session. Topics can be school, friends, goals, conflicts, or let them just talk to you, if they choose to. Showing your child how special they are to you and how much they are loved is crucial.

5. Plan a family project - This could be a Family Tree, Recipe Book, Photo Album, Family Facebook Account, Twitter, Blog or other Family Crafting project. These projects don't have to be expensive. Make these projects as fun as possible. The idea is to get them involved in family oriented projects that will encourage bonding and connecting.
6. Family meal time – This time should be more than sharing a family meal together. Take this time to just talk to one another. Talk about the day, about weekend plans, the night's activities, and so forth. Allow each child or family member talk about anything they choose. Keep the conversation upbeat and fun for all.
7. Keep a Clean Home - Take pride in keeping a clean home. A fresh, clean home makes you feel good, and if it’s well organized, you even tend to think more clearly.
8. Pick Up Frugal Hobbies and Entertainment - Read Books, Magazines, take walks outside, visit family and friends, and listening to music. Dont watch too much of TV. Save up for a rainy day - Don't believe in debt. Pay in Cash. Do not use credit-cards. Buy things only when you have money. Save money for what is most important for you.
9. Read books and ask questions to your children and Grand-Children: What did you like about the book? Ask them simple yes and no questions about the book. Ask them what other books they might be interested in and encourage them reading to you as well. This teaches them reading and comprehension skills as well as getting to know them better.
10. If your children or grand-children are in school, you must meet with their teacher on a regular basis - You may want to keep this private (just between you and their teacher). Make sure to schedule regular parent-teacher meetings to stay abreast on how they are progressing in their studies and if there are any conflicts that need your attention. |
